State of the Art Community Park

After the hard work of drawing the plans, awaiting planning permission and raising funds by the Ballindaggin Development Group the dream is on its way to becoming a reality.

The diggers have moved in to clear the site and put down services including speed calming infrastructure on the approach road to the village. The group's Facebook page has put a shout out for tradesmen to lend a hand: plumber, bricklayer, carpenter, plasterer, electrician.

Located next to St Colman's National School, the finished community and outdoor play ground will be a reality by the start of summer 2018 so continued good luck and best wishes from Glen Fuels New Ross.

The plans include a children's playground, walking track, underage playing pitch, picnic area and public toilet.

The kids will be able to exhaust themselves on a double junior swing, two bay swing, track ride tower, agility trail, quartet seesaw, horse spring, fairytale dog, multispinner carousel, slide and triple play tower complete with slide and bridge.

They say that working out in the fresh air brings a host of heath benefits, including more calories burned while the exposure to daylight will boost seratonin levels (the happy hormone). The community park will also feature and adult's playgournd in the form of outdoor gym equipment.
